Celebrating Black Women’s History Month
Two years ago, on the heels of a series of events featuring successful Black Women as speakers or panelists, I published an initial list of 28 “Awesome Black Women You Should Know” and created a web pagewith links to each of these women’s LinkedIn and Twitter accounts. The goal with that original list was twofold: to celebrate these awesome women, and to help those who wish to identify “diverse” talent for events or collaborations but may not have access to networks of women and people from underrepresented minorities.
Since that time, the list has grown significantly through a combination of nominations from third parties, as well as new women that my colleagues and I have had the privilege of meeting since that time. As of today, the list includes 150 Black women. (read more)
