Tuned In: CBS makes diversity strides, faces questions on CEO Moonves

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – For the past two falls CBS has taken deserved knocks for the lack of diversity in its new prime-time shows, which overwhelmingly featured middle-age white guys as leads.

This fall CBS deserves credit for taking those criticisms and offering programs with a far more diverse roster of lead actors, from a Hispanic lead on the “Magnum P.I.” reboot to two sitcoms and one drama starring African-American leads and a Dick Wolf drama with a woman in the lead role.
